This is a vase I have made on the wheel. It is 3 1/2 inches tall, 3 inches tall at the widest, and 2 inches at the lip. It is glazed green on the inside and brown on the outside. The outside surface is a little bit rough, while the inside is smooth textured. In order to make this, I learned to use the large loop tool to foot projects quicker. The main art elements in this are shape, color, and texture. In this, the design element I used is contrast, which shows by the the green, smooth textured area against the brown, rough textured parts. I want to convey the feeling of order through the clean-cut boundary between the green glaze and the brown. |
