This is a bowl made using the wheel. It is 3 1/4 inches tall and 3 3/8 inches wide, and is glazed using cobalt blue, white, turquoise, and green. When making this project, I learned how to pull a more even wall by slowing the wheel and pulling the wall at the same speed as the wheel is turning. An art element that is present in this would be color, as the striations left from pulling the wall can be seen more clearly due to the white and light green. A design element used in this would be movement, as the viewer's eye is directed by the multicolored drips of glaze towards the center of the bowl. The mood I intend to convey with this is curiosity, as the inside of the bowl looks quite interesting compared to the outside of it. |
