This is another bowl that I have made on the wheel. It is 3 1/2 inches wide and 2 1/2 inches tall, and the color that I used to glaze it is cobalt blue. When making this project, I learned how to reduce the amount of clay left on the bowl after throwing by removing more during footing. In this, an art element I have is texture, as the bowl ended up feeling quite rough on the outside, while the inside is almost completely smooth. The design element I used is contrast, as the outside texture of the bowl is different from the inside. In this, I wanted to convey the idea of something that could be used in everyday life.
This is a wheel bowl I have made. It is 3 3/4 inches wide and 2 3/16 inches tall, and the glaze colors I used in this bowl are white and cobalt blue. On this particular bowl, I learned how to pull up more clay from the bottom of a project, which helps to utilize more of the clay. An art element present in this would be color, as shown by the blue and white. The design element I used in this would be emphasis, as the cobalt area becomes more eye-catching due to the contrast to the white color. The mood that I feel that this conveys is surprise, as the contrast between the colors looks a bit curious.
